Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Help prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to the development of these plans when necessary.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for community outings or appointments.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
