Job Type: Freelance (self-employed)
Location: South Leeds
Pay: £150.00–£300.00 per day
About the role
We're building a clinical network of HCPC registered podiatrists to provide proper, regulated foot care to residents in care homes across the Leeds area. This is an overlooked part of the profession, but it's some of the most rewarding podiatry there is — residents often go without proper foot care, and the impact on their comfort, mobility, and independence is real.
Current case load is 2 visits/month, and you can organising your own diary. We handle the administration, provide the equipment, and deliver sterile kit directly to site — so you can focus on the clinical work.
What we offer
- Self-employed, fee-sharing basis, 50:50
- Equipment and stock provided at each site — no need to own your own kit or a steriliser
- Clinical supervision from an experienced team of podiatrists
Who this suits
This tends to work well as supplementary income alongside NHS or private practice, or as a flexible way to build caseload around other commitments. It's equally suited to podiatrists returning to the profession after a break.
Experience and qualifications
You'll need to be HCPC registered. Prior care home experience is preferred, but we welcome newly qualified podiatrists who can demonstrate the ability to practise independently.
