We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
- A culinary qualification is preferred but not essential; relevant experience will be considered.
