Are you looking for a new opportunity away from the frontline clinical work, while still using your valuable clinical knowledge and experience?
As a
Functional Assessor, you’ll assess how an individual’s health conditions or disabilities affect their
functional ability, capacity for work and ability to participate in work-related activities, using your clinical judgement to produce accurate and evidence-based assessments.
Salary: WCA (5 to 6 reports a day) £50,000 increasing to £51,000 after 12 months (varies between postcode)
Bonus Scheme:
- £2,000 salary increase once trained and approved to carry out face-to-face assessments
- Up to 10% annual performance and quality bonus
- 5% when approved after training
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (No evenings, weekends or bank holidays!)
Can drop down to
Part-time after 9 weeks full time training
Who we're looking for:
- Registered Nurse (General, Mental health, Learning disability), Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist with active registration
- A minimum of 12 months post graduate experience
- Experience in clinical assessments
- Skills - Strong communication skills, report writing skills, effective assessment skills, IT and typing skills, clinical reasoning, time management, adaptability

Training programme:
Successful candidates will complete a
12-week comprehensive training program covering (amongst other things):
- Assessment Techniques: Best practices for accurate evaluations.
- DWP Guidelines: Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions.
- Report Writing: Skills for detailed and objective reporting
