Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Sheetmetal Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, optimize workshop efficiency, and lead our team of qualified fabricators and welders. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards expected by our clients while driving productivity, ensuring health & safety compliance, and overseeing project delivery from design to dispatch. Strong technical background with the ability to read engineering drawings and understand various metal manufacturing processes (TIG/MIG welding, CNC punching, pressing etc)
Duties
- Manage daily sheet metal production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations
- Drive team development by providing training on mechanical processes, safety procedures.
- Support, help and develop apprentices through skills teaching partners
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing management with a focus on process optimization
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with familiarity to basic machine maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of quality control standards and assembly techniques within sheet metal production
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving
