Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards and consistency.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to new and existing staff members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all areas of operation.
- Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing exceptional hospitality and resolving any issues promptly.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, culinary skills, and food production.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to organise and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in serving guests with professionalism and courtesy in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hospitality operations, including hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
- Good communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
