Position: Casual Kitchen Porter
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pot wash and back-of-house areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy and compliant with food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Remove waste and recycling in line with company procedures.
- Support the kitchen team with general duties as required.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the Head Chef or kitchen management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering or other hospitality environment is preferred.
- Comfortable working on your feet for long shifts in a busy kitchen.
- A strong commitment to cleanliness, organisation and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- A team player who works well with others.
- Flexible and reliable, with availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.
