Application Software Trainee – 24‑Month Development Programme
Role Purpose & Context
Are you interested in starting a career in IT while gaining recognised qualifications and hands‑on experience?
As an Application Software Apprentice at Synergy Technology, you’ll join a structured 24‑month development programme where you’ll learn two of our core software products while working alongside experienced professionals. We’ll invest in your development, providing training, mentoring, and support to help you grow your technical skills and progress within the business.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that shares knowledge openly and encourages curiosity, initiative, and continuous learning. If you bring enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine interest in technology, this training programme offers a strong foundation for a long‑term career in IT.
Reporting To - Support Desk Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the support dashboard and incoming requests
- Receive and handle customer calls and support tickets
- Ensure all support requests are accurately logged
- Provide regular customer updates and clear communication
- Resolve basic support tickets under guidance
- Escalate issues appropriately when required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Knowledge & Experience (Desirable)
- An interest in, or basic understanding of, IT software technologies
- Previous exposure to IT systems or support environments is advantageous but not essential
Skills & Attributes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
- Problem‑solving mindset with the confidence to use initiative
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage calls and tickets effectively
Qualifications & Training
As part of the programme, you will be supported through:
