Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of your designated section within the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including tools and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment
- Support the training of junior staff and interns as required
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in high-volume or fine dining establishments
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and culinary styles
- Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced setting is essential
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
