Self-Employed / Subcontractor | Day Rate: £200 – £240 per day
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Multi Trader, working with a busy, growing company that specialises in social housing repairs and maintenance. We are looking to expand our team covering voids and tenanted properties in and around the West Sussex area.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi Trader to carry out a wide range of property repairs and maintenance works across void and tenanted social housing properties. The role will cover carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering and general maintenance, and you will be expected to work to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.
You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver a high-quality, reliable service to tenants and residents, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Repairs and Maintenance
- Carry out a wide range of property repairs and maintenance works to a high standard.
- Carry out tasks including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and plastering.
- Complete plumbing repairs and installations, including full bathroom refurbishments.
- Carry out patch plastering, tiling and decorating works where required.
- Prep and latex floors prior to flooring being fitted.
Diagnostics and Quality
- Diagnose faults and deliver effective, lasting repairs.
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and customer service standards.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail across all tasks.
Teamwork and Communication
- Work both independently and within a team, as the job requires.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with tenants in occupied properties.
- Liaise with the wider operations team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Multi Trader carrying out repairs and maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, tiling and plastering.
- Previous experience working in tenanted properties (desirable).
- Experience of full bathroom refurbishments.
- Ability to diagnose faults and deliver repairs to a high standard.
- Own power tools and vehicle.
- Ability to prep and latex floors prior to flooring being fitted.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive “can-do” attitude with a strong customer service focus.
- Full UK driving licence.
