We are currently looking for an experienced Stockperson to assist the unit manager on our outdoor pig breeding unit . Stockperson experience is essential.
Job Responsibilities of Pig Stockperson:-
- You will be actively involved in overseeing all areas of the pig breading cycle
- Overseeing and maintaining high welfare standards. On a day to day basis this includes feeding, moving and handling the pigs
- General animal husbandry
- Working with machinery including tractors and telehandlers (training provided)
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
What you will need:
- Previous stockperson experience.
- To always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare
- To be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player abilities
- To be reliable and have excellent time-keeping
- Full driving license / Own transport to reach rural farm location
Weekly hours are variable with some early starts (on these occasions you will finish earlier).
Pay and Benefits:
- £29,741.40 - £35,000.00 depending on experience
- The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work, total 45 hours per week.
