Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fencing Supervisor / Operative to lead fencing projects and execute fencing installations with precision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee on-site operations, coordinate team efforts, and ensure the successful completion of fencing works across diverse projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Supervise fencing installation teams, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met at all times
- Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently to maximize productivity
- Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools for cutting, fixing, and assembling fencing materials
- Oversee the use of fabrication equipment for custom fencing solutions when needed
- Assist with on-site carpentry, masonry, roofing, or other construction tasks as required
- Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports and safety documentation
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Ideally a valid CSCS card.
- Full driving licence.
- Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades such as carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding, fabrication techniques, and construction painting
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety Regulations.
- Physical fitness to handle demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory
