Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation
- Use welding skills for metal roofing components and fabrication tasks as needed
- Perform heavy lifting safely to handle materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and insulation materials
- Apply masonry and carpentry skills for roof framing, support structures, and related components
- Conduct inspections to ensure roofing work meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Utilize plumbing knowledge when working on roofs with integrated drainage or ventilation systems
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely during installation or repair processes
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing projects or related trades
- Demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans for accurate execution of tasks
- Familiarity with roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, membranes, or tiles
- Experience working with plumbing or masonry elements on roofing structures is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and building regulations relevant to roofing projects
