Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages promptly and accurately to residential addresses.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and reduce delivery times.
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, answer questions, and address any concerns professionally.
- Load and unload packages, often involving heavy lifting and careful handling of goods.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reporting of any issues encountered during routes.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for inventory management and package sorting as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role; commercial driving experience is highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification is a plus.
- Experience in warehouse operations or handling heavy lifting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently.
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of driving and lifting heavy packages.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
