We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Cleaning Operative to provide holiday cover at Quedam Shopping Centre.
We are ideally looking for one person who can commit to the full assignment, including the training day, to provide continuity throughout the period.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning of the shopping mall and communal areas
- Cleaning and sanitising public toilets
- Cleaning service and back-of-house areas
- Cleaning and litter picking within the car park
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste
- Sweeping, mopping and general floor cleaning
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the shopping centre
- Responding to cleaning requirements throughout the shift
- Following site health & safety and cleaning procedures

Week 1 – 35 hours
- Tuesday 22nd September – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Thursday 24th September – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Friday 25th September – 7:30am–1:30pm – 30-minute break
- Saturday 26th September – 7:30am–5:30pm – 1-hour break
- Sunday 27th September – 8:30am–4:00pm – 1-hour break
Week 2 – 35 hours
- Tuesday 29th September – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Thursday 1st October – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Friday 2nd October – 7:30am–1:30pm – 30-minute break
- Saturday 3rd October – 7:30am–5:30pm – 1-hour break
- Sunday 4th October – 8:30am–4:00pm – 1-hour break
Week 3 – 28.5 hours
- Tuesday 6th October – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Thursday 8th October – 7:30am–3:30pm – 1-hour break
- Friday 9th October – 7:30am–1:30pm – 30-minute break
- Saturday 10th October – 7:30am–5:30pm – 1-hour break
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous commercial cleaning experience
- Be confident working within a busy public environment
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be comfortable cleaning public toilets and external/car park areas
- Be able to work independently and manage their workload
- Ideally be available for every shift listed above, including the training day
