Start Your Career in Sales with Sam's Gutters & Roofs
Have you recently left school or college and are wondering what your next step should be?
If you’ve already gained 1–2 years’ experience in a part-time job, whether that’s in retail, hospitality, customer service or sales, this could be a great opportunity to turn that experience into a career.
We’re looking for a confident, friendly and enthusiastic Sales Administrator to join our growing team in East Grinstead.
You don’t need years of office experience and you don’t need to know anything about roofing or gutters. We’ll provide full training on our services, systems and sales processes.
What we are looking for is someone who is comfortable speaking to people, keen to learn and wants the opportunity to develop within a growing company.
What you'll be doing
- First point of contact for answering incoming customer calls.
- Contacting recent customers to discuss further services they may benefit from.
- Logging new customer enquiries accurately into our CRM system.
- Responding to emails.
- Reviewing photographs from completed jobs to identify any visible maintenance issues that may require a quotation (such as damaged roof tiles, worn pointing or gutter defects).
- Updating spreadsheets and our CRM.
- Supporting the sales team with general administrative tasks.
- Helping ensure every customer receives a professional and friendly experience.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 1 year's experience in a customer service or sales role (retail/shop floor experience is absolutely welcomed).
- Is confident speaking with customers over the phone.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is comfortable using computers, writing emails, Microsoft Office and learning new software.
- Has good attention to detail.
- Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Can spot opportunities and isn't afraid to make recommendations.
- Is friendly, positive and enjoys helping customers.
We'll provide full training on our systems, services and products.
What you'll receive
- Full training and ongoing support.
- Opportunities to develop into more senior sales roles.
- Friendly and supportive team environment.
- Company pension.
- Holiday entitlement.
- Staff incentives and career progression.
If you're organised, enjoy speaking with people and are looking for the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
