Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2 Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable operating flatbed vehicles and has experience in commercial driving.
Duties
- Operate 26 ton lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Plan routes effectively, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, particularly with rigid vehicles.
- Strong commercial driving skills, with a valid HGV licence preferred.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local roads and routes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
