Contracts Cleaning Manager
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Contracts Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning contracts across South Wales and the South West. This is a full-time role with a salary of £35,000 per annum.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cleaning contracts, supporting cleaning teams, maintaining high standards across all sites and ensuring clients receive a reliable and professional service. This is a varied role that requires strong organisation, good communication skills and the ability to manage people, priorities and client expectations across multiple locations.
The role will include carrying out regular site visits, quality checks and cleaning audits, supporting and supervising cleaning staff, arranging cover for sickness and holidays, dealing with client queries and ensuring all work is completed to the required standard. The Contracts Cleaning Manager will also be expected to provide cover cleaning when required, so a practical, flexible and hands-on approach is essential.
This role is full-time and will need to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the business. There may be occasions where the successful candidate is required to deal with sickness cover early in the morning, attend to operational issues in the evening or adjust their working day around client and staffing requirements. In return, the role offers the ability to manage your own time and diary around the needs of the contracts and the business.
Applicants should have previous experience in cleaning management, area supervision, or a similar contracts-based role. The ideal candidate will be confident managing cleaning teams, dealing with clients, carrying out site inspections, and ensuring high standards are consistently maintained. A full UK driving licence is required due to the travel involved across South Wales and the South West.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, proactive and willing to take ownership of their contracts. The right person will be comfortable working independently, solving problems, supporting staff and stepping in where needed to ensure the service continues to run smoothly.
In addition to a salary of £35,000 per annum, benefits include access to an Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, subject to eligibility and scheme terms, along with workplace pension, 30 days holiday per year, company phone, laptop and a works vehicle.
