Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team, responsible for constructing and assembling various structures and components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building techniques and materials, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate structures according to specifications and blueprints.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for various building tasks.
- Carry out painting, plumb, masonry, and joinery tasks as part of the construction process.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion on time.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building or construction roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the day.
- Familiarity with masonry, carpentry, and joinery techniques is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
