Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist / Care Co-Ordinator to join The Dawes Family Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to patient care in a friendly and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Managing appointment scheduling and cancellations using practice management software
- Answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, and directing calls appropriately
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information as needed
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care
- Handling administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing correspondence
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
Requirements
- Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and familiarity with practice management software is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly attitude
- Attention to detail when managing patient information and documentation
- A professional demeanour with a commitment to providing outstanding patient service
- Worked with EMIS / Docman / Accurx would be an advantage, however training will be provided
