The Big Sister Instructor will deliver sessions every Tuesday from 17:00 to 18:00, working with young girls aged 11 to 15 years.
The role provides an opportunity to support and mentor participants while helping to shape and develop the programme. You will be involved in the scheme and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and feedback, helping to influence future activities and initiatives.
Where appropriate qualifications are held, the instructor may also have opportunities to provide:
- Group Exercise class cover
- Gym floor cover and member support
- Health and wellbeing programmes
- Community engagement initiatives
- Other healthy lifestyle and outreach schemes delivered by the centre

- Set up and manage the Big Sister programme that delivers a measurable impact for young girls within the community. Encouraging them to partake in exercise and wellbeing activities.
- In line with relevant training / qualifications held, deliver specific Healthy community project/ programme, e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention, according to the parameter discussed with line manager.

More about you
- Qualified instructor in relevant in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently i.e. Gym level 3, NGB level 2 or higher.
- Experienced in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
- Passion for improving the health of the local community.
- Ability to use MS tools.
