Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Young Persons Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of young people aged 16 - 18 in a semi independent living service in Kirkby. This is an established company with a great reputation.
This is a lone working job, working 2 sleep shifts a week. 10am start - 10:30 the next day, £60 a sleep.
In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support, guidance, and practical assistance to Young People. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can thrive, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with the young people, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each young person's needs, interests, and goals.
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring activities and adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care activities in accordance with organizational policies.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to coordinate support strategies.
Skills
- Experience working with young people in a care is essential
- Driving licence is essential.
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures and safeguarding policies.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate approach combined with patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
