Goodwin & Goodwin are looking for a creative and hands-on Sign Maker to join our award-winning sign and design company in North London.
This is not a job where every day looks the same. You’ll be creating bespoke, handcrafted signs, lighting and displays, working with different materials, tools and techniques to bring ideas to life. Every project presents a new challenge, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and learn new ways of making along the way.
We design and manufacture everything in-house, from our own range of distinctive type-based homeware, lights and signs to completely bespoke work for some fantastic clients including BBC, GQ, MTV, Spotify, Coca-Cola, H&M and Fortnum & Mason.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating and assembling bespoke signs and light boxes
- General sign making and fabrication
- Spray and brush painting
- Masking, sanding and preparation
- Working with a wide range of hand tools and power tools
- Weeding and applying vinyl
- Basic wiring, soldering and 12V LED electrical work
- Building signs using different materials, techniques and finishes
- Working from drawings, designs and project requirements
- Taking projects from preparation through to a high-quality finished product
- Helping solve practical challenges and find creative solutions
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making things and enjoys working with their hands.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous sign making experience
- A strong interest in making, building and creating things
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Electrical experience — desirable
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A self-motivated attitude and the confidence to work independently
- A willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- Good listening and communication skills
- A practical, can-do approach to solving problems
