Role Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Patient Care/Reception Team Member to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service within a clinical setting.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for creating a warm and reassuring experience while supporting the smooth daily operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Front Desk
- Welcoming patients to the clinic in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Handling patient enquiries in person, by phone, and via email
- Providing clear information regarding appointments, treatments, and clinic processes
- Ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and comfortable at all times
Appointment & Diary Management
- Booking, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments
- Managing clinicians’ diaries efficiently to minimise gaps and delays
- Coordinating patient flow within the clinic
Administration & Clinic Support
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Processing consent forms, correspondence, and internal paperwork
- Supporting the clinical and management team with administrative tasks
- Ensuring reception and waiting areas are clean, organised, and welcoming
Communication & Teamwork
- Liaising closely with dentists, nurses, and patient coordinators
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment visits
- Escalating patient concerns appropriately and professionally
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in reception, patient care, or customer service, ideally within a dental, medical, or healthcare setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Confident use of computer systems and booking software
- Professional appearance and manner
- Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience working in a private dental clinic
- Knowledge of dental treatments or patient journeys
