We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Team Member to join the team at Strami & Steak. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support all areas of the kitchen, from food preparation to cooking and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
You’ll work as part of a close-knit team to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. Whether you’re preparing ingredients, assembling sandwiches, working the grill, or keeping the kitchen organised, you’ll play an important role in delivering an excellent experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients and complete daily food prep.
- Cook and assemble menu items to company standards.
- Operate the grill and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Prepare sandwiches, burgers, and other menu items.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Keep workstations clean and organised throughout service.
- Wash kitchen equipment and assist with general kitchen cleaning when required.
- Receive and store deliveries correctly.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures.
- Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively
- Basic cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving kitchen needs
