Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting others and ensuring their well-being. We are looking for night shifts but please note you may be required to work day shifts too. You must be flexible in shift patterns.
Duties:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities
- Help in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided
- Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Drive to appointments or outings as required
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home environment
- Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow care plans and provide person-centred care
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues effectively
