I ntegrated Business & Resource Planning Analyst
Astroscale UK is seeking an Integrated Business and Resource Planning (IBRP) Analyst to ensure the business is planning consistently across finance, workforce, and delivery – connecting turning data into aligned, forward-looking decisions. This role sits within the Business Operations team and has a company-wide remit, driving alignment and collaboration across functions, partnering with teams at all levels without being positioned above any function .
The primary purpose of this role is to establish and operate a company-wide resource planning and demand management capability, providing a single source of truth for project demand and workforce allocation, that feed s forward-looking financial/resource forecasts. Supporting decision-making at leadership level, you will ensure the business can answer:
- Do we have enough people (now and in the future)?
- Are resources aligned to priorities?
- What is the forward-looking financial and capacity outlook?
Where are risks, gaps, or inefficiencies emerging ?
Responsibilities
- Consolidating project demands across all teams, and overseeing resource allocations
- Partnering with HR Talent team to integrate skills mapping into demand and resource planning
- Ensuring alignment across; project demand, resource allocation, workforce planning, financial forecasting
- Establishing and enforcing a governance framework for demand and allocations.
- Define and manage data standards, ownership and approval processes.
- Manage stakeholders, to ensure inputs are timely and accurate
- Deliver tailored reporting and routine dashboards for stakeholders, using Power BI or other tools.
- Explore opportunities for automation and AI-driven approaches to data capture, forecasting and scenario planning.
- Ensure alignment in data between functions , and respective stakeholders
- Support smoother reforecasting cycles for finance
Provide wider insight into delivery performance, and operational effectiveness supporting in particular the Head of Business Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance and Deputy MD.
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical thinking, data analysis and modelling capability with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into business insight
- Advanced Excel + Power BI (or similar tools)
- Understanding of resource planning / workforce planning
- Knowledge of project delivery environments (PMO/Engineering)
- Ability to design and implement governance frameworks
- High ownership of process and standards
- Strong stakeholder management across all levels
- Confident in challenging and holding others accountable, with sound judgement on when to escalate issues appropriately
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
Problem-solver with systems thinking
Desirable skills
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, or complex operational environments
- Exposure to process improvement or change initiatives
- Exposure to AI/automation in analytics
- Experience implementing planning tools or systems transformation
Understanding of financial planning & costing models
