A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Line Leader to work in our facility in Severn Beach.
Responsible for overseeing daily operations within the production unit, ensuring that workflows meet established standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The role coordinates and supports team members, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving to achieve production targets and uphold organisational objectives.
This position plays a key part in supporting process improvements, managing resources, and providing regular reports to senior staff, thereby contributing to the overall success and compliance of the manufacturing environment.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Lead automated, high‑speed lines to deliver planned, safe, efficient output.
- Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet schedules and balance skills.
- Operate and coordinate setups, changeovers, and running to cut downtime and waste.
- Maintain GMP, hygiene, and food safety to meet BRC and legal duties.
- Complete and oversee documentation, traceability, and ERP updates for accurate audit data.
- Monitor efficiency and yield, resolving operational issues and escalating where required, supporting troubleshooting or escalation.
- Liaise with Production, Planning, QA, Engineering, and Warehouse to align materials and priorities.
- Identify and escalate machinery, quality, or safety concerns to mitigate risk.
- Support operator coordination, routine performance monitoring, and on‑job coaching to sustain competence.
- Support continuous improvement and audit readiness to enhance reliability and compliance.
Person specification:
- Significant experience of coordinating production teams and managing line activities to meet schedules and performance targets.
- Demonstrable experience of operating and coordinating setups, changeovers and running of automated high-speed lines to minimise downtime and waste.
- Demonstrable experience of maintaining GMP, hygiene and food-safety compliance, completing traceability and ERP documentation, and supporting routine troubleshooting.
The hours for this role are 40 hours per week Sunday - Thursday between 9.30pm-6am.
