Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assistant (Manufacturing/Fabrication) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining safety compliance throughout the manufacturing process. Your proactive approach will help uphold our reputation for excellence in fabrication and safety. This role would be particularly well suited to someone from an engineering inspection, manufacturing or workshop background, rather than someone whose experience is predominantly focused on quality administration or paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting quality inspections of fabricated items at various stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends or deviations that require corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of quality issues and support corrective measures
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and quality control activities
- Participate in internal audits and support external inspections to verify adherence to safety and quality regulations
- Assist in training team members on quality assurance protocols and best practices
Skills
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and identify quality trends or issues
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all products meet strict quality standards
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Basic understanding of quality assurance processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work methodically in a fast-paced setting
