Self-Employed Dog Walker

Lotte’s Walkies is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced self-employed dog walker to join our growing team.
We currently have clients waiting for spaces and are looking for someone who can help us take on new clients while maintaining the high standard of care our customers expect.
The Role
As a self-employed dog walker, you’ll be responsible for providing safe, reliable and enjoyable walks for our clients’ dogs.
Pay: £14.50 per hour
There is also the opportunity to take on pet sitting at £35 per day for additional work.
Responsibilities
- Walking dogs safely and responsibly
- Providing individual care and attention to each dog
- Following each dog’s individual routines and requirements
- Handling dogs confidently and appropriately
- Communicating professionally with clients
- Providing updates and photos where required
- Ensuring dogs are returned home safely and on time
- Following feeding and care instructions where required
- Respecting clients’ homes when carrying out pet sitting
- Reporting any concerns regarding a dog’s health or behaviour
Requirements
- Previous experience working with dogs is essential
- A genuine passion for working with animals
- Confidence handling a variety of breeds, sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Professional and trustworthy
- Availability for regular weekday work
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is essential
- Canine first aid qualification is desirable but not essential
