Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products and packages to designated destinations
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse settings
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues immediately
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for all shipments
- Uphold safety standards at all times, including proper securing of cargo and adherence to traffic regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role with a strong track record of safe driving practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or trucks is highly desirable
- Warehouse experience is a plus, especially involving heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods safely
- Knowledge of local traffic laws, route planning, and navigation tools
