Job description
To drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle delivering plant, equipment and buildings in a safe and timely manner.
Role and responsibilities
- Transport plant, equipment and buildings to clients sites.
- Supervise/ and or the safe loading and unloading of plant, equipment and buildings.
- Make certain the load is correct and secured safely.
- Deliver plant, equipment and buildings in a timely and safe manner with respect for the customer’s property.
- Handle customer issues on delivery effectively.
- Provide a professional image and excellent customer service
- Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with road law, tachograph law and driver hours limits
- Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and complete daily inspection sheet
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Ensure accidents and incidents are kept to a minimum and reported as soon as possible in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure
- Attend essential training in order to carry out the driver role
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company
Qualifications and education requirements
- Have Class 1 licence
- Current Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)
- Tacho Digicard

Additional notes
- A full valid driving licence will be necessary with a good driving record
- Applicants need to be physically fit due to the nature of the work
- Must be prepared for nights out.
- Being able to use a forklift and load your own vehicle is preferred but not necessary.
- Pay dependant on experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
