Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Dance Gymnastics Coach to inspire young learners through engaging dance and gymnastics programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering age-appropriate sessions and after school club that promote physical activity, coordination, and confidence in a supportive environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to foster a love of movement while contributing to the development of children’s physical and social skills.
Duties
- Plan and deliver fun, safe, and educational dance and gymnastics sessions tailored to primary school pupils.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for various dance styles and gymnastics routines, ensuring correct form and safety.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship among children of diverse abilities.
- Monitor each child's progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support children's individual needs and celebrate achievements.
- Organise themed events or performances to showcase students' progress and boost confidence.
- Keep equipment in good condition, clean, and ready for use during sessions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, teaching, or working with children in an educational or extracurricular setting.
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques and gymnastics fundamentals suitable for primary school age groups.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners effectively.
- Organised, patient, and adaptable with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications in dance or gymnastics are desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
- Ability to work flexible hours during school term times, including afternoons or early evenings as required.
- A commitment to creating a positive, inclusive environment that encourages all children to participate actively.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check which company will apply for.
Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour

- coaching: 2 years (preferred)
