Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in senior care, dementia care, assisted living, and management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and delivering exceptional patient and resident care. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of medical procedures, and a dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals under our care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the healthcare team, including supervising staff involved in patient care, assisted living, and specialised dementia or hospice care programmes.
- Oversee the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and case management.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, including staffing schedules, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
- Develop programmes focused on senior care, Alzheimer’s care, working with individuals with disabilities, and home care services.
- Facilitate staff training programmes to enhance skills such as anatomy knowledge, patient care techniques, and management practices.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Skills
- Proven experience in management within assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Strong background in senior care, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s), hospice care, ICU experience, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent team management and supervising experience with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medication administration protocols, and laboratory procedures relevant to healthcare settings.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with staff, residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Compassionate approach to patient care combined with strong leadership qualities.
- Familiarity with case management processes and home care services is desirable.
