We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children to learn, grow, and thrive. Your leadership and management skills will ensure high-quality care and educational experiences, fostering positive development in every child. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills for children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Lead by example to foster positive behavior and communication among children and team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized care plans and monitor each child's progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development, achievements, and any concerns.
- Manage daily operational tasks such as record keeping, activity planning, and ensuring compliance with childcare policies.
- Demonstrate strong management skills by overseeing junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the setting to enhance the quality of care provided.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- Valid Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification or equivalent is required; Level 3 candidates are preferred for their advanced expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience within early childhood education environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in nursery operations including child development practices and health & safety procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
