CAD Technician
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our growing Civil and Structural Engineering team. Working predominantly on residential housing developments, you will support the production of technical drawings and design documentation for a wide range of projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a rewarding career within the engineering industry, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This position is open to both experienced CAD Technicians and enthusiastic entry-level applicants, including school leavers who are looking to start their career in engineering. No previous CAD experience is required for entry-level candidates, as full on-the-job training will be provided. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their technical skills through structured mentoring and practical project experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Create technical drawings, schematics, system layouts, and detailed design documentation to support project delivery.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and project teams to develop, coordinate, and refine design solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with project requirements, client specifications, relevant standards, and applicable regulations.
- Review and revise drawings throughout the design process, incorporating feedback and maintaining document accuracy.
- Support the resolution of design and coordination issues by applying effective CAD modelling techniques and practical solutions.
- Maintain organised project files and ensure document control procedures are followed.
Skills & Experience
No previous CAD or engineering experience is required. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the right attitude and a genuine interest in developing a career within Civil and Structural Engineering.

- Basic IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience with CAD software is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, are desirable. A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, or equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Design, Construction, or related subjects would be advantageous but are not essential.

Pay: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
