Coffee Shop / Bistro Team Member
Monmouth | Part-Time / Flexible (3-4 days per week)
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team at our daytime Coffee Shop / Bistro.
Salt and Pepper is a well-established independent retailer (since 2000) located in the heart of Monmouth. Our business includes adjoining shops — Cook Shop, Gift Shop, Clothes Shop — with our Coffee Shop / Bistro playing a central and much-loved role. We serve a full daytime menu, cakes, and a popular bespoke coffee blend. We are also fully licensed.
About the Role
As part of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of daily operations, including:
- Preparing and serving a wide range of drinks (full barista training provided)
- Taking customer orders and operating the till
- Food service and delivering excellent customer care
- Learning our menu, including allergen awareness
- General housekeeping and maintaining a clean environment

- A team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential — full training is provided
Working hours:
- Full-time: 5 days out of 7 (rota basis, including weekends)
- Also open to applicants available 4 days per week
- Daytime hours only — no evenings or split shifts
- Opening hours:
Monday–Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary:
- Competitive and dependent on experience (discussed at interview)
