Digital Project Worker: Join a small team supporting adult social care, with your role to provide support for digital compliance
Salary: from £16 per hour (subject to experience)
Hours: Part‑time (20 – 25 hrs)
Contract: Fixed term to 31 March 2028 (extension subject to funding)
Location: Home‑based (equipment and assessment provided) with significant travel to providers across Berkshire and occasional meetings outside of Berkshire (travel paid).
Working in partnership with our sister association, Oxfordshire Association of Care Providers, we are looking for a proactive, organised and relationship‑focused Project Worker to help deliver the digital programme in Berkshire as part of the wider Digital Security Protection Toolkit project (full training provided).
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and meaningful work. You’ll be part of a small, friendly, mission‑driven team working closely with local authorities, the NHS, national partners and hundreds of care providers. This is a hybrid role with some elements of home working, a significant amount of time being spent out visiting providers across Berkshire (focussing on Reading and Slough), and some meetings at other locations.
Why this role matters
Adult social care is under huge pressure — and the work you do will directly support providers to improve digital compliance along with other support that the Care Association is able to offer. You’ll engage with providers and provide one to one support, and may assist with webinars and in person meetings as your experience builds.
What you’ll be doing
· You’ll support the smooth delivery of the digital project by:
o Coordinating project activity, including webinars, in person and online meetings, phone and email engagement with providers.
o Building and maintaining accurate contact lists of adult social care organisations.
o Liaising with care providers across Berkshire to understand needs and support goals.
o Gathering, analysing and summarising information for project status reports.
o Helping to deliver project targets and ensuring deadlines are met.
o Supporting communication plans and ensuring partners are kept informed.
o Facilitating change requests and tracking impacts on timelines and budgets.
o Compiling monitoring data for internal and external reporting.
o Managing day‑to‑day project tasks including calls, emails, spreadsheets, and online meetings.
o Ensuring GDPR and data security standards are upheld.
· Representing BCA at internal and external meetings.
· Contributing to the development of project documents and resources.
· Taking part in training and development as required.
· Opportunity to get involved in other projects as they develop
