Role Profile
Responsible for leading process improvement by learning and applying Kaizen Tools, Principles, Thinking and Methods to improve flow of parts, information and people with assuring safety and quality
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Lead or support process improvements by identifying and eliminating waste from the manufacturing processes to facilitate one piece flow, ensure quality and safety.

Design and fabrication to develop and implement right size solutions to facilitate one piece flow.

Provide creative and innovative hands on solutions to facilitate easier work methods for the operator.

Learn, & apply kaizen tools to support manufacturing processes and flow lines.

Communicating and presenting ideas, improvements and accomplishments to colleagues along with, motivating, coaching and mentoring team members and others throughout the company

Project Management from start to finish including project development, implementation, and review.

Work in a team-based environment and also individual projects

Process improvements which includes, people, material and information flow, mistake proofing, quick change fixturing, standardization, quick and hands-free clamping, and hands-free loading and unloading.

Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate and lead kaizen workshops.

Operating manual lathes, mills, saw, press brakes, & welding and all power tools as part of design and fabrication
Person Specification:

Must be self-motivated, result oriented with a sense of urgency and adaptability.

Understanding of mechanical, components, machine design & building.
-
Mechanical, wiring, plumbing including pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.

Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.

Communication & problem-solving skills.

Minimum of college degree or significant work experience equivalent, engineering preferred.

Kaizen knowledge & experience preferred.
-
CAD knowledge preferred.

Operating knowledge of the following machines such as manual lathes, mills, saws, press brakes, welding machines and all power tools is preferred.
