Exe Valley Farm Shop is a family-run business passionate about quality local produce and exceptional food. Our café is growing, and we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team. We take pride in using fresh, seasonal ingredients, including our own home-reared meats sourced directly from our farm.

The Role
As our Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes for our busy farm shop café while helping us continue to develop and grow our food offering.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality meals to a consistently high standard.
- Create seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients and our own farm-reared meats.
- Assist with menu development and bring new ideas to the café.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage stock rotation, food preparation, and kitchen organisation.
- Support catering for occasional events and special functions.
- Work effectively as part of a friendly and supportive team.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen.
- Passion for fresh food and local produce.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work one weekend day each week.
Desirable:
- Experience working with seasonal menus and locally sourced ingredients.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience in café, farm shop, or gastro-pub environments.
