Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Joiner / Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and assembling timber doors to specification, ensuring excellent workmanship, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Manufacture and assemble timber doors and door components
· Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
· Cut, shape, sand, and finish timber materials to required standards
· Fit door components including frames, glazing, ironmongery, and seals
· Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
· Ensure all work is completed within production deadlines
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
· Report material shortages, defects, or machinery issues to supervisors
· Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams
Desirable Skills & Experience but training will be provided
· Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
· Competent using woodworking machinery and power tools
· Strong attention to detail and quality standards
· Good understanding of health and safety procedures
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Desirable Qualifications
· NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent but not essential)
· Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
· Experience with CNC machinery or automated woodworking equipment (training provided)
