Finance & Accounts Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Tiverton, Mid Devon
Salary: £20,000.00 - £24,000.00 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)

About Us
Capital Piling Ltd is a specialist piling and foundation contractor operating throughout the South West and beyond. Alongside our sister company, Four Seasons Installs Ltd, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance & Accounts Coordinator to support the day-to-day financial administration of both businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied finance role and wants to become an important part of two growing and ambitious companies.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial and administrative functions of both companies, ensuring accurate record keeping, effective financial controls and strong communication with suppliers, customers, management and our external accountants.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Ledger & Credit Control
- Monitor outstanding customer invoices.
- Chase overdue payments and maintain regular communication with customers.
- Produce and maintain aged debtor reports.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
- Liaise with project managers regarding customer account issues.
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match supplier invoices against purchase orders.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Identify discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers to resolve invoice queries.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules for approval.
Bank & Cash Management
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile company credit card and expense transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor and report on cash movements.
VAT & Accounting Systems
- Support VAT reconciliations and reporting.
- Ensure transactions are correctly coded and recorded.
- Maintain accurate records within Sage.
- Work closely with our external accountants when required.
Finance Agreements
- Maintain records of finance agreements and payment schedules.
- Monitor key dates and agreement documentation.
- Ensure all finance-related records are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems.
- Prepare, print and maintain project and company files.
- Ensure supplier and customer records remain accurate and up to date.
- Support document control and general office administration.
Management Support
- Produce weekly debtor and creditor reports.
- Support directors and senior management with financial information and reporting.
- Liaise with the company's external accountants.
- Assist with month-end administration and reporting.
- Support credit applications and account opening procedures.
- Provide general administrative support where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, bookkeeping or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- Experience with:
- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- Credit Control
- Bank Reconciliations
- VAT Reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- Experience within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of CIS and construction-related accounting processes.
- AAT qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
