Job Overview
We have an opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner to join our team at our well-established precision engineering company in Waterlooville.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in setting and programming FANUC controls.
Attractive rate of pay and overtime rate. 40 hrs per week and early finish on Fridays at 13:30.
Responsibilities and skills
CNC Turner/Programmer/ Setter
- Program and Set FANUC Controlled Lathes to produce high quality precision parts according to specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring on-time delivery of products while maintaining high levels of efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Complete inspection records and interpret tooling sheets.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain machine performance and report any maintenance requirements.
- A commitment to quality and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally 5+ years experience.
- Must have experience with working to tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is highly desirable.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance in all aspects of work is expected.
- A strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Pay
Attractive pay and overtime rate.
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 and Fridays 07:30-13:30.
- Overtime available at an attractive rate
- Contractual sick pay
- 22 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays
- Christmas shutdown
