The Supply Room is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Sutton, supporting pupils aged 4–11 years.
This full-time, fixed-term role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience, with the potential to secure a permanent position for successful candidates.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a primary-aged pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing consistent support to help them access learning, develop positive relationships, and achieve their individual goals.
You will build trust, encourage engagement, and help create a safe and supportive environment where the child can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will help implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence.
You may also support wider classroom activities, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different learners and contributing to an inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
This role is ideal for support workers, care workers, tutors, sports coaches, psychology graduates, residential support workers, mental health support workers, or anyone with experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
If you are reliable, patient, and passionate about making a difference in a child's life while pursuing a long-term career in education, we would love to hear from you.
