Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization platforms to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Design and optimize database structures in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Manage project workflows by applying project management principles within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery of analytics projects.
- Create detailed documentation of data processes, workflows, and system designs using Visio or similar tools for clarity and future reference.
- Support database design efforts by implementing best practices in data modeling and VBA automation for process efficiency.
- Utilize Bash (Unix shell) scripting to automate routine data tasks and streamline operations across different platforms.
- Conduct business analysis to evaluate current systems, recommend improvements, and assist in the implementation of new analytical solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with data analysis skills including proficiency in SQL for querying databases effectively.
- Strong knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI for creating compelling dashboards.
- Familiarity with programming languages like R and Python for statistical analysis and automation tasks.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar systems.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies to manage analytics projects from conception through deployment.
- Ability to perform business analysis by translating complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Skills in database design principles along with experience in VBA scripting for automation purposes.
- Competence in project management practices to coordinate multiple initiatives efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail; capable of interpreting large datasets accurately.
- Proficiency with Visio or similar diagramming tools for documenting system architecture or workflows.
