Role to be based at either Abingdon, Banbury or Oxford
We welcome applications for a Police Contact Enquiry Supervisor to supervise the front counters at Oxford, Abingdon and Banbury police stations.
In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of Police Contact Enquiry Offices. You will supervise the delivery of a professional frontline local counter service, ensuring quality standards are adhered to in accordance with policy and practices, resulting in a resilient and consistent service to the public. You will direct the deployment of Police Contact Enquiry Officers and provide support, guidance and development to all staff, ensuring welfare/sickness issues are identified. You will also encourage innovation and implement changes to policy and procedures maintaining a standardised and professional service.
You will have experience in delivering a high level of customer service, alongside an ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. A systematic approach to problem solving is essential as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must have good IT skills and a good level of general education. Relevant experience of helping people to develop their skills through encouragement, motivation and support is also required.
You must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason, a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
If you are a TVP employee and have you been in your current post for less than 12 months, you need to seek approval from your line manager to be eligible to apply for this role.
