Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and thoroughly
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
- Organising and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients appropriately
- Supporting the team during busy service periods by ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
