About the Role
The Supply Room is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive primary school from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential. While previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is welcomed, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide in-class and 1:1 support, helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and 1:1 support for students with additional learning needs
- Support students with SEND to access the curriculum and engage in learning
- Work alongside teachers to adapt learning activities and resources
- Encourage students' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with SEND is highly desirable
- Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or support roles is beneficial
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
- Willingness to complete all onboarding and pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check
Pay & Hours
- £92.59-105 per day
- Monday to Friday, term-time only
- Full-time position
- September start
