Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring tasks as directed by supervisors or team leaders
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working atmosphere
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required, ensuring proper use and maintenance
- Support skilled tradespeople in their tasks as needed
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Experience
- Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Good communication skills to understand instructions clearly and report any issues promptly
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices on-site
