Applications are invited for a Consultant post in Neurocritical Care to start after 1st August 2026. This post is based at the West Wing of the John Radcliffe Hospital site. It will predominantly involve responsibility as a consultant in a prospective cover 1:9 rota for the 17 bedded neurosciences critical care unit, but will also help to establish an Echocardiography service within the existing Pre-Operative Assessment service in the West Wing.
The appointment is on a whole-time basis.
The duties of the post-holder will be primarily occur in the West Wing of the John Radcliffe Hospital but it is a condition of the appointment that the post-holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations in Oxford (The John Radcliffe Hospital, The Churchill Hospital and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre). The job will predominantly involve responsibility as a consultant in a prospective cover 1:9 rota for the 17 bedded neurosciences critical care unit, but will also continue to develop a service as a perioperative consultant for the Neurosciences inpatient ward, as well as establishing an Echocardiography service within the existing Pre-Operative Assessment service within the West Wing.
